It's wedding season! A time of beautiful bouquets, champagne (or whisky!) toasts, unexpected first dance songs and a whole lotta love. Before that though, there was a sweet little family vacation to California. Oh, California. We love you.
My husband and I are both freelancers so weekends are nonexistent and he also tours, which means this year I'll see him oh... in September for a month and then off to travel the world again? We love what we do so it works for us, but whenever we have family time we use it! One of our favorite things to do is travel and this year we all trekked across the country to meet up with my husband's side for our first ever big family vacation. We flew into San Francisco and drove to Eureka where we stayed at the awesome Pink Lady and explored the Redwoods (so magical) followed by the second half of our trip full of wine tastings and cousin tackling (there are now three grandsons!) in Sonoma. We couldn't have asked for a better send off into our work season so I thought I would share a few photos from our trip. Magical California, we will be back!
If you like photos of trees, my husband and cute redheads (ok, maybe just I'll enjoy this!) see below:
And for photography lovers wondering what equipment I brought, I went simple and took my Canon 5D Mark III and my 24/1.4 lens.
