I couldn’t narrow it down to a top nine, so here you go! Cheers to the new year!
Happy New Year!
Anelise + Hugo // Brooklyn Winery Wedding
Anelise + Hugo had the most beautiful wedding at Brooklyn Winery this past year. They invited friends from nearby as well as Brazil, which included a beautiful English-Portugese ceremony and stunning DIY details. Anelise’s creative spirit showed in every aspect of the day and Hugo’s background in photography (yay!) was incorporated by getting ready at a photo studio in the neighborhood. Such an honor to be a part of this beautiful day with these two who poured so much of themselves into the planning to make it just perfect for their family and friends. Parabéns, A+H!

Just stopping by to send each and every one of you the warmest holiday wishes and all the best for this new year. What a year! (I say every year.) My little family got a little older (3 and 1 year olds now!) and our apartment is totally packed with robots, space ships, crayons and coloring books, soccer balls and all those lovely things that let you know two small boys live with you. My husband had a great year of touring followed up by Off-Broadway Clueless (get tickets!) and I had the best year of weddings, mostly at home in Brooklyn. I love all of you! With that update I just really wanted to thank my amazing couples and their families for being so cool, throwing the best parties, incorporating the quirkiest surprises and just being so wonderful to work with.
CHEERS TO 2019!
Jess + Justin // Green Building Wedding
Jess + Justin, the loveliest of people, were married in Brooklyn at the Green Building this past spring. I don’t think I have ever seen Jess without her megawatt smile and the whole day was filled to the brim with love and big smiles! From the gorgeous first look at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge to the happy tears filled ceremony and lit dance party the day was 100%.

Chelsea + Jack were married on the most beautiful Brooklyn day, and hear me out - this year has been amazing and pizza filled and all that good stuff, but also the rainiest - I saw the sun this day. Hooray! I love Prospect Park and the Boathouse is always such a classic site to say your “I Do’s”. Loved this wedding and couple. Congrats Chelsea + Jack!

If you’re thinking about doing an engagement session, I always recommend starting with a place that is near and dear to you like your home, your neighborhood or where you met/fell in love. I want to tell a story with your wedding photos and it can all start at the engagement shoot. Plus, you know these will be fun to look at in 50 years. I love seeing the old cars, fashions, etc. in my grandparents’ photos. Nostalgia is strong with me! Rebecca + Christian chose the neighborhood where they fell in love and we even got to stop by the swing set where Christian tried to show off and ended on the rooftop of Rebecca’s old building. Those Bushwick VIEWS! Yes, please!
