Jess + Justin, the loveliest of people, were married in Brooklyn at the Green Building this past spring. I don’t think I have ever seen Jess without her megawatt smile and the whole day was filled to the brim with love and big smiles! From the gorgeous first look at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge to the happy tears filled ceremony and lit dance party the day was 100%.

Chelsea + Jack were married on the most beautiful Brooklyn day, and hear me out - this year has been amazing and pizza filled and all that good stuff, but also the rainiest - I saw the sun this day. Hooray! I love Prospect Park and the Boathouse is always such a classic site to say your “I Do’s”. Loved this wedding and couple. Congrats Chelsea + Jack!

I’ve been having way more fun than expected finishing up some posts from the past few months because I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times more - this was a good year. I’ve had the most incredible, sweet, kind-hearted, creative and also environmentally/politically conscious group that have left me in awe weekend after weekend. Ellie and Cooper are no exception and if you’ve already seen their engagement shoot a few posts away you already know that they are so stylish, cute and easy to photograph. The way they look at each other is it. I know everyone feels that way about them too because I heard the ceremony and speeches and these two are solid! Cooper and his friends took the subway uptown to the wedding (which I love) and Ellie created all of the signage, invitations and best stone escort card display ever. Anyway, I could sing their praises all day, but let’s get to the good stuff. Hope you enjoy this beautiful wedding at New Leaf Restaurant in NYC. Congratulations E+C!

Alec + Clarke’s industrial chic wedding at Roberta’s was another one of those weddings I left thinking… “If I did it again…” which, honestly, happens a lot even though I loved my wedding (coming up on TEN years ago!) because once again, the theme of this year was PIZZA and combine that with beautiful NYC skyline views, that fancy Williamsburg Hotel suite, beer brought in from Texas, a crew of fun friends and every last little detail just nailing it. I loved it. I love them.

If you’re thinking about doing an engagement session, I always recommend starting with a place that is near and dear to you like your home, your neighborhood or where you met/fell in love. I want to tell a story with your wedding photos and it can all start at the engagement shoot. Plus, you know these will be fun to look at in 50 years. I love seeing the old cars, fashions, etc. in my grandparents’ photos. Nostalgia is strong with me! Rebecca + Christian chose the neighborhood where they fell in love and we even got to stop by the swing set where Christian tried to show off and ended on the rooftop of Rebecca’s old building. Those Bushwick VIEWS! Yes, please!

Deborah + Hopper’s beautiful wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse was a pure sight of love. It’s old news, but we wedding planning can take up so much time and energy that it’s often easy to look past where you began and why you’re doing this. Here, it was so evident that this sweet couple didn’t lose sight of the reason for their marriage. Family members joined in on their instruments from the beginning of the day to the heartfelt ceremony where the couple sang a hymn together right til the end. It felt very similar to a wedding that my family might throw with so many instruments, singing, children running about and a whole lot of love. Also, don’t skip on the lake photos. As a city dweller going north is always a treat and I go overboard on expressing my love for natural settings. More lake weddings! An honor to be a part of this special day. Thank you and congratulations, Deborah + Hopper!
